Audition Requirements

Read below for each program's specific audition requirements.  Please check back soon for video examples of audition submission requirements.

ACTING:

Students interested in acting programs should prepare two contrasting monologues. There is a two minute time limit to these monologues, not including your slate/introduction of yourself.  Recordings over two minutes in length may not be viewed to the end.  Auditions will be timed. Students will also need to upload their most recent resume when registering. MUSICAL

THEATRE:

Students wanting to audition for musical theatre programs should prepare one monologue and one song. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key with cuts clearly marked as an accompanist will be provided. No CD or MP3 accompaniment allowed. Total audition time, beginning with the student's first action after their slate, may not exceed
two minutes. Auditions will be timed. Students will also need to upload their most recent resume when registering. To register, click here.

DANCE:

Students wishing to audition for Dance programs will participate in a masterclass taught by Philadelphia dance artist, Meghan Frederick. Please dress appropriately and bring all necessary footwear. Students will also need to upload their most recent resume when registering. To register, click here.

TECH:

DESIGN,

PRODUCTION,

&MANAGEMENT

Candidates interested in a technical theatre program, such as design, technical direction, stage management, etc, will be provided a table to display examples of their technical theatre. Examples include prompt books, displays of past design work, slideshows, and conceptual designs. Please note outlets are not guaranteed for every table, so make sure any electronics have a full charge. Additionally, students will have 10 minutes for table set up and 10 minutes for table strike. Recruiters will visit each table during a set time period and interview students. Students will also need to upload their most recent resume when registering. To register, click here.
